Support Small Business

Small businesses drive our economy, but Doug Ford has sided with big box stores and corporations over the small businesses of Ontario.

Doug Ford gave big-box stores an unfair capacity advantage over local businesses, and gave more than $200 million in pandemic support to corporations that didn’t qualify and didn’t need the help, while turning away the small businesses.

Those choices combined with ongoing lockdown measures, have left a lot of mom-and-pop shops in dire financial straits, and a lot of jobs at risk. We have to take action to protect them.

    Small businesses are trying to rebuild, taking on extra responsibility without extra resources, and we must ensure small businesses in Ontario get the support they need to stay open.

    We can help people make it to the other side, make the months ahead easier and safer, and start rebuilding our critical services. But we need Doug Ford to stop listening to his buddies, and start listening to regular families and working folks.
