Quotes
Official Opposition NDP Leader Andrea Horwath
“Faisal has been a tireless advocate for the York South-Weston community, from fighting to get his community help during the COVID-19 crisis to passing a bill that celebrates Somali heritage in Ontario. Faisal is an important part of the NDP team as we plan to form government in 2022, with a platform that promises better care for seniors and homes people can afford, including right here in York South-Weston.”
Faisal Hassan, NDP candidate for York South-Weston
“I have been proud to work hard for the people of York South-Weston, and to fight for the resources our community deserves and hasn’t gotten from Liberal or Conservative governments. It is an honour to be selected by New Democrats in my riding to run again in 2022, and I look forward to delivering on the NDP’s commitments to mandating four hours of hands-on care for seniors in long-term care, providing direct financial help paying rent to thousands of families, and tackling local concerns like flooding and gun violence.”
