Invest in northern and rural health care. Keep ERs open.

While staffing shortages cause ER closures across rural and northern Ontario, Ford's Conservatives throw their hands in the air, and withhold $22.6 billion dollars.

    We are facing the worst health care crisis in our generation. Nurses are leaving the profession in record numbers, hospitals are critically understaffed to meet with the demand, and waves of emergency rooms are shutting down across rural and Northern Ontario.

    Instead of investing to keep ERs open, Ford's Conservatives are sitting on $22.6 billion in unspent funds, funneling taxpayer dollars to private clinics, and fighting nurses in court.

    Marit Stiles and the Ontario NDP are pushing back, and calling on Ford's Conservatives to immediately invest in public health care that's there when people need it.
