Build Care. Strengthen Ontario.

The Ontario NDP has a plan to treat hospital infrastructure as nation-building — and invest in the care people are counting on.

Emergency rooms are closing. Hospitals are crumbling. And communities across Ontario have been left waiting far too long.

Our motion will fix that. It calls on the government to finally invest in the critical hospital projects that families have been promised for years — and fund them in the 2025 Budget.

    Here’s what it will do:

✔️ Fund new hospitals in Brampton, Durham Region, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Brantford

✔️ Reopen the Minden ER and restore 24/7 emergency and urgent care in Welland, Port Colborne, and Fort Erie (Douglas Memorial Hospital)

✔️ Expand or redevelop hospitals across the province, including:

    • Windsor-Essex Regional Hospital
    • Hamilton Health Sciences
    • Queensway Carleton Hospital and Arnprior Regional Hospital
    • Health Sciences North in Sudbury and Weeneebayko General Hospital in Moose Factory
    • Thessalon Hospital, Matthews Memorial Hospital (St. Joseph Island), Manitoulin Health Centre, and Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital

These investments will build care and strengthen Ontario — with better care, good jobs, and stronger communities.
