Riding Fundraising Clerk (Full-Time), Temporary to February 27th with possibility of extension

The Ontario NDP is looking for a Riding Fundraising Support Specialist to join our team and help strengthen local fundraising efforts across the province.

This role supports riding associations and campaigns by building sustainable fundraising strategies and ensuring compliance with Ontario’s political fundraising rules. It’s a chance to work collaboratively, make a tangible impact, and be part of a movement that fights for a better future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Creation: Support the development of fundraising materials tailored to riding associations and campaigns, and distribute templates and resources.
  • Offline Fundraising Support: Working closely with the Fundraising Director, support the creation of email, phone, and direct mail fundraising strategies.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report on fundraising outcomes to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Direct Fundraising Support: Assist with direct fundraising efforts as assigned to maximize success.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed on Elections Ontario fundraising rules and help ensure compliance across all activities.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Organizers to identify and address challenges in local fundraising efforts.
  • Message Crafting: Help ridings customize fundraising templates to suit local needs.
  • Direct Mail Coordination: Support riding-level direct mail fundraising campaigns.
  • Event Guidance: Assist in planning and on-site staffing for in-person fundraising events as assigned.
  • Donor Relations: Address individual donor inquiries and requests from riding associations and campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, ideally within a political or non-profit context.
  • Strong knowledge of email, phone, and direct mail fundraising techniques.
  • Familiarity with Elections Ontario fundraising rules and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience tracking and reporting on fundraising data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including crafting persuasive fundraising messages.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to the values and principles of the Ontario NDP.

Compensation:

This position is compensated as per the ONDP Collective Agreement Class 3. Starting salary is $57,146.71 per annum.

Location:

The ONDP has an office at 2069 Lakeshore Blvd West, Etobicoke, ON M8V 3Z4, though the role may involve travel to support local campaigns.
