Migrant workers who are working on farms do not have access to proper COVID-19 testing, safe accommodation, or paid sick leave to self-isolate when necessary. As a result, more migrant workers are contracting COVID-19 in Ontario. They remain unprotected during the pandemic.

Ontario’s New Democrats urge the government to immediately provide tests, safe accommodation, and paid sick leave, as well as, ensuring that Ontarian farmers have the supports they need so harvest is not lost.
