Will McCarty chosen to be the NDP candidate in Vaughan—Woodbridge

VAUGHAN — New Democrats in Vaughan—Woodbridge have chosen Will McCarty to be their NDP candidate in the 2022 election.

“I grew up in a home where my parents got involved in politics to fight for our community and improving people's lives,” said McCarty. “I stand ready to do the same to secure a better future for people in our province. I want to bring the voices of this community to Queen’s Park as part of Andrea Horwath’s hardworking team. We need to fix what has been broken by Doug Ford and by successive Liberal governments.”

“I am deeply concerned about the future for my generation and the ones following it. All across Ontario, people are finding it harder to keep up with rising costs and pay the bills, even if they have a good job. Many are seeing their dreams of starting a family, owning a home or running a small business slip further away each day,” said McCarty. “The last two years have been long and painful. And years of Liberal and Conservative funding freezes and cuts to health care, home care, long-term care and education before the pandemic put us in a terrible place even before COVID hit. Ontarians deserve a government that will put them first. The Ontario NDP is committed to investing in the next generation of Ontarians, instead of creating more problems for them to solve.”
