QUEEN’S PARK – Marit Stiles unveiled the Shadow Cabinet for the 44th Legislative Assembly of Ontario. The Ontario NDP was re-elected as the Official Opposition at Queen’s Park with 27 seats representing communities in every corner of the province.
“The people have put their trust in New Democrats to once again serve as the official opposition while our province faces unprecedented economic uncertainty from south of the border.
"We're ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work—because the stakes couldn't be higher right now.
"People want to see their political leaders stand united against Donald Trump’s threats, to strengthen our economy, fight for good jobs, and take care of our people. And that is exactly what our team will be doing.
"Our Official Opposition Shadow Cabinet will be tasked with keeping Ford's new ministers accountable and putting the interests of Ontarians front and centre. With representatives from every corner of the province and a wealth of experience, our team is ready to bring real solutions to the challenges we face as a province.”
In the coming days, Stiles will be striking the Leader’s Advisory Council on Tariff Response & Economic Security.
