Ontario NDP and Gurratan Singh mark the 34th anniversary of the 1984 Sikh Genocide

Today Ontario New Democrats stand with Sikh Canadians in remembering loved ones, family and friends, who were killed during the 1984 Sikh genocide.

We commemorate the children, women, and men who were victims of premeditated killings.
We stand in solidarity with those who are living with this trauma, and who are seeking support on the path towards healing and reconciliation.
In the spirit of healing and reconciliation, we must all acknowledge the scope of the crimes against the Sikh people.
New Democrats stand together with Sikhs, Ontarians, and Canadians, in remembrance.
