Natasha Doyle-Merrick chosen to be the NDP candidate in Eglinton—Lawrence

TORONTO — New Democrats in Eglinton—Lawrence have chosen Natasha Doyle-Merrick to be their NDP candidate in the 2022 election.

“I was born and raised in Lawrence Heights. I love this area, its diversity and history of hardworking immigrant families that have built the neighbourhood's strong sense of community. I am eager to bring the voices of this community to Queen’s Park and work with Andrea Horvath to fix what has been broken by Doug Ford and successive Liberal governments,” said Doyle-Merrick.

Doyle-Merrick recently returned to the area after studying in Ireland where she was actively involved in environmental issues and fighting climate change. She is committed to building greater inclusivity and access to essential public services for diverse communities.

“Affordability and access to health care, childcare and education are crucial issues facing people in Eglinton-Lawrence. Andrea Horwath and the NDP are the team that can beat Doug Ford and deliver what matters most to the people of Ontario. I am excited to join this hardworking team.
