Heather Vickers-Wong chosen to be the NDP candidate in Etobicoke Centre

ETOBICOKE — New Democrats in Etobicoke Centre have chosen Heather Vickers-Wong to be their NDP candidate in the 2022 election.

“As a wife and mother, I understand first-hand the importance of a strong and healthy community,” said Vickers-Wong. “I have worked hard to make life better for my family, my neighbours and my community. That is why I am eager to bring the voices of Etobicoke Centre to Queen’s Park and work with Andrea Horwath to fix what has been broken by Doug Ford and successive Liberal governments,” said Vickers-Wong.

A passionate children's advocate, Vickers-Wong is a long-time resident of Etobicoke Centre and mother of two amazing teens.

“I am deeply concerned about the kind of future we are leaving for our children. The climate crisis is the greatest threat our world faces. The way we respond to that crisis can create an incredible opportunity,” said Vickers-Wong. “Andrea Horwath and the NDP have laid out the boldest, most achievable climate plan, one that will create about one million good jobs you can pay the bills on."
