Ford’s “review” ignores what Ontarians are calling for – and risks the Greenbelt even further

QUEEN’S PARK – Marit Stiles, the Leader of the Official Opposition, released the following statement following Ford’s corrupt Conservatives’ announcement of a “review” of Ontario’s Greenbelt:

“Ontarians aren't asking for yet another review of the process we already know was corrupt – they want the Greenbelt lands restored, and they want accountability from this government for rigging the system.

Ontarians aren’t getting either from Mr. Ford today – in fact, his “review” risks opening up even more of the Greenbelt to the corrupt Conservatives’ wealthy insiders. It’s a waste of Ontarians’ time and money.

Mr. Ford: recall the Legislature now and let’s return Greenbelt protections.”
