FACT CHECK: Doug Ford claimed he was “flattening the curve”

QUEEN’S PARK — As Ontario reaches yet another record high number of new COVID-19 cases, Doug Ford needs to explain why he and his government have been minimizing the impact of COVID’s second wave on Ontario families, and cutting back on public health measures that are supposed to stop the spread and keep people safe.

“Doug Ford is gambling with people’s lives, and he’s putting us all at risk of longer, deeper lockdowns later,” said Deputy Leader Sara Singh. “He’s downplaying the seriousness of the second wave and delaying the investments needed to help people and businesses get through it.”
