The Ontario New Democratic Party (ONDP) seeks an experienced Director of Fundraising and Donor Development. Under the supervision of the Provincial Director, the Director of Fundraising and Donor Development is responsible for developing, overseeing, and expanding the Party’s fundraising and development activities, including donor relations, special events, major donor campaigns, telemarketing, direct mail, prospecting, and receipting.
The Director will ensure the Party is well-resourced to carry out its day-to-day activities and prepare for a winning election campaign. Innovative strategies will be required to ramp up revenues ahead of expected changes to political party financing. Reporting to the Provincial Director, the Director will work in tandem with the Digital team, responsible for online fundraising and engagement, and the Communications team to align messaging with the Party’s work.
The ONDP is the Official Opposition in the provincial parliament of Ontario. The Party’s central office, located in Toronto, provides support and leadership for 124 volunteer riding associations across Ontario, plans and executes general election campaigns, and supports the governance of the Party in accordance with its Constitution and provincial legislation.
This position is compensated as per Appendix IV of the ONDP Collective Agreement. Starting salary is $86,042.28 (Class 6) per annum. The ONDP has an office at 2069 Lakeshore Blvd West, Etobicoke, ON M8V 3Z4.

In recognition of the time and labor involved in preparing for and attending an interview, the ONDP will financially compensate interviewees at a fixed rate of $75 per interview. In the event that a candidate is asked to prepare a presentation or assignment for an interview, the ONDP will financially compensate the candidate for that work at a rate equal to the hourly rate for the position, based on the number of hours the hiring committee believes the task should take.
